
For some time the former Journal editor was looking for an article which appeared in 1959. It was in Soldier magazine, and explained Terence Cuneo's interest in military painting. Pictures of the Army (in particularly were one of his key themes alongside railways, horses and others. These painting still hang in military sites, often in messes, and continue to be admired.
